Meet the Team

Sara Elghobashy is a seasoned nonprofit leader with 15+ years of experience in elevating the missions of social impact organizations in the United States and beyond.
As the founder and principal consultant of Bash Advisory, Sara draws from her background in funder and donor engagement, board development, capital campaigns, and strategic planning and communications to help nonprofits develop a roadmap for sustainable, long-term growth.
Prior to launching Bash Advisory, Sara served as the Senior Vice President of External Affairs at the Mission Society of New York City, where she developed and implemented the fundraising and communications strategies that strengthened the organization’s financial footing. She began her career at the Arab American Family Support Center, and has since held roles at Women’s World Banking, Room to Grow, and Women Aware.
Sara is a graduate of New York University and a native Arabic speaker.

Libby is an Associate Director at Bash Advisory serving nonprofits across sectors including education and media. She holds a Masters in Public Health from the University of New England, and has worked across nearly every facet of nonprofit operations, including communications, partnerships, fundraising and programs.
Prior to joining Bash Advisory, Libby worked for nonprofits including Rest of World, Central Asia Institute, Solidaridad Network, Days for Girls, and Educate!. Originally from Vermont, she spent 9 years living in Uganda, including extensive travel for work. These experiences deepened her appreciation for community-led solutions and shaped her approach to fundraising as a way of connecting impactful work on the ground with the people and institutions positioned to help it thrive.
Libby lives in New York with her husband and two daughters and enjoys baking, theater, and spending time outdoors.

Ava Faria is an associate consultant at Bash Advisory working closely with social justice-focused organizations to strengthen organizational capacity and advance sustainable funding.
Ava earned her Master’s degree from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. She brings experience in nonprofit development and grant prospecting, having supported a range of organizations working across global peacebuilding, global health, education, and food sovereignty.
Her work is informed by a longstanding commitment to racial equity, place-based solutions, and Participatory Action Research approaches. Outside of work, Ava is usually planning her next trip, trying a new café, or at Pilates.

Lillion Hunt is a manager, communications at Bash Advisory. She’s passionate about creating compelling stories that inspire donors and help organizations build meaningful connections with their communities.
Lillion earned a Master’s degree in Computational Journalism from Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in web technologies and applications from California State University Long Beach. She currently calls Portland home, but has been fortunate enough to live across five states and spend a few years in Japan.
In her free time, you can find her creating digital illustration doodles, learning a new dance routine in Zumba, or playing cozy video games.

Anjelica La Furno brings 7+ years of experience advancing the missions of organizations across local news, legal services, and workforce development to Bash Advisory's media portfolio. As associate director, she takes a care-centered, player-coach approach to guide newsrooms and media-adjacent organizations in resourcing their powerful work toward true sustainability and with an abundance mindset. Most recently, she served as development director of a statewide legal service provider and policy advocacy organization serving young immigrants. Her earlier roles include managing institutional giving at Documented and specializing in partnerships and community learning at New Women New Yorkers. Early in her career, she supported fundraising for scholarships and cultural programs at a national affinity organization. Anjelica is an alumna of the City University of New York, having earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Hunter College. Raised in the world's borough, she currently resides in New Jersey with her husband.

Lupita brings nearly a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector with organizations whose missions align with the principles of social, racial and economic justice. She is experienced in the areas of impact tracking, fundraising and strategic communications. Most recently, she was the development director at MLK50: Justice Through Journalism.
Lupita’s career path has been guided by her interests in journalism, education and community engagement. Her experience as a first-generation Mexican immigrant fuels her commitment to helping make community-centered organizations more sustainable.
Lupita holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, French, and Spanish (with a minor in neuroscience) from the University of Portland, and a master’s degree in Latin American studies from the University of California, San Diego. She has spent time studying and living in France, Spain and Ecuador, but currently calls San Diego home.

Christiana Taylor is the associate director of social justice at Bash Advisory. Christiana brings 10 years of experience in grantmaking and development, program management and coordination, administrative support, and curriculum development in the fields of criminal justice, higher education, public health, and social services. Prior to Bash Advisory, she worked as a Program Officer at The Belk Foundation in Charlotte, NC to support K-3 literacy and diversify the teacher pipeline. Additionally, she worked as a Programs and Initiatives Manager at The Children's Trust in Miami-Dade county, where she oversaw the youth development portfolio focusing on grants to fund early literacy and equitable out-of-school time programs.
Christiana earned a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University in New York. She enjoys exercising, reading, and traveling in her free time.
